Montreux Palace in Switzerland is an amazing venue to celebrate your wedding. Next to the lake of Geneva, with stunning views over the Swiss Alps, you can celebrate your wedding outside in their garden. The hotel is so beautiful as well. Grand ballrooms, sparkling chandeliers and mouth-watering cuisine. Is there a more magical destination in Europe for your dream wedding?

Montreux is easy to reach by car, rail, plane or even by boat. Being uniquely situated at the centre of Europe, cultures, music, architecture, cuisine and language have resulted in the mosaic of Swiss charms. While getting to Montreux is easy, you might find that leaving the Swiss Riviera is close to impossible.

This beautiful wedding couple celebrated their day with their best friends. Because of the restrictions with COVID, they celebrated with less people than planned. In the end it was a more intimate wedding, which they also loved a lot. The couple were sharing their vows outside , with stunning views of the Alps, Lake Geneva and the hotel acting as the backdrop. After their wedding ceremony they celebrated with their friends at the stunning La Coupole. This room is located on the upper level of the Petit Palais, and has a large terrace overlooking the lake and the Alps. This beautiful and unique room, combines Belle-Epoque and contemporary style.

From the bride:

My dream was to get married by the sea with a floral arch » in Italy, where I come from originally or in Spain where Francisco comes from. First, we had planned to get married in Stresa for the magic venue and mediteranean weather. Plus, the access by train or car was easy and close to Switzerland. However, due to the pandemic, we had to change all our plans : venue, photographers, florist etc.
At this stage, the situation was really decouraging : the Grand Hotel Des Iles Borromees in Stresa decided to stay closed in September, our photographers and a part of the guests were coming from countries in quarantaine. Despite the situation, we decided to maintain the wedding in 2020 and had only 2 months to reorganise everything! In my past professional experiences, I used to organize VIP events for major coorporations. Thanks to this experience, I could manage without a wedding planner and in a very short time.
We found an alternative location at the same date which characteristics, landscape and infrastructure was close to our first choice in Montreux, Switzerland, just near we live. The Fairmont Montreux Palace was a perfect fit : glamorous view, impecable service and incredibly professional staff. The weather was perfect : hot, sunny with the most romantic sunset ! Everybody was so happy to see each other after a long period of loneliness. We are aware of the weird year of 2020 due to the pandemic but for us it was the most magical moment of our life!
