WEDDING PLANNERS - SWITZERLAND TOURISM TRIP

- DAY 1 -

Last year we had the pleasure to capture a great event from Swiss Tourism. Switzerland has amazing wedding venues and want to promote them more to future international wedding clients. That’s why they invited a team of wedding planners from all over the world, to show them the beauty of Switzerland. Thanks to Nailia from Best Day Ever Events, who brought us in contact with Swiss Tourism, we were invited as photographers to capture these days.

We started at Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne. This ambassador of the highest Swiss hotel tradition is a great example of the country’s typically excellent hospitality. The walls of this majestic building could tell 1001 stories … about defining moments in history – such as the signing of pioneering treaties – about artists seeking inspiration, about royal families and famous celebrity guests. The legendary Beau-Rivage Palace guards many secrets. Classed as one of the best hotels in Europe, next to Lake Geneva, Beau-Rivage Palace is nestled in a natural beauty spot just a stone’s throw away from the centre of Lausanne. To celebrate your wedding, we believe this is one of the best venues. The service is outstanding and the ballroom is just another level. We were completely in love.

We also visited the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa Lausanne. This luxury hotel also features a SkyLounge on the roof with a unique 360° panoramic view and an extensive spa area. The historic building is in the “Grand Château aesthetic” and is complemented by a newly constructed contemporary wing. Since it’s re-opening at the end of 2015 the Royal Savoy Hotel’s park has already become known as an oasis of tranquillity right in the heart of the city. Also a beautiful venue to celebrate your wedding in Lausanne with an outstanding service level.

After visiting the city center of Lausanne, we went back to the Beau Rivage for a presentation of some great local wedding vendors. Marilyn Rebelo is a ceremony speaker based in Lausanne, and she can give you more than a symbolic wedding ceremony, a couple empowerment to your magic and make it last. Or how about the amazing floral designer, Lilas et Rose. ‘Lilas et Rose’ is a Geneva-based floral studio, and they are specialised in weddings, events, and flower styling for creative projects. They are known for their artistic floral design in romantic, loose natural style. They also beautifully decorated the tables for the evening dinner. They did this together with the team of Faire-part à Part. This company makes beautiful stationary for your wedding. For us as wedding photographers it’s always amazing to work with these kind of professional vendors. With great teamwork we can make the best photos possible.

It is really inspiring to meet and talk with other wedding vendors / planners, about their experience. Together we talk a lot about new ideas and how to make the whole experience even better for our clients. Day 2 of this event will be next week online.
