Last year we had the pleasure to capture a great event from Swiss Tourism. Switzerland has amazing wedding venues and want to promote them more to future international wedding clients. That’s why they invited a team of wedding planners from all over the world, to show them the beauty of Switzerland.
We started the morning at Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne. With its glazed walls overlooking the natural surroundings, the panoramic view from the dining room where breakfasts are served is astonishing! The high-quality, varied buffet is a gourmet delight. An amazing way to wake up.
After breakfast, we had a transfer to the beautiful Portes des Iris. Portes des Iris is located above Morges, near the famous Château de Vullierens estate. In this splendid, fully renovated 16th century farmhouse, six reception rooms can accommodate up to between 450 and 500 people. The gorgeous setting and the bright spacious two-storey venue, not to mention the impressive fireplace, enchant guests. A beautiful wedding venue in the nature.
The second visit of the day was Maison Buttin-de-Loës. This wedding venue has wonderful terraces, gardens and stunning views on Lake Geneva, the Alps and the vineyards of Lavaux, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site. This unique place is a magical wedding venue with magnificent backdrops for beautiful pictures that will make for forever lasting memories.
From there we had a visit and brunch at Grand Hôtel du Lac. This is a beautiful wedding venue to celebrate your special event in a stunning setting with a joyous, enchanting ambiance. Experience moments of unbridled delight in the company of your loved ones. Your home from home at the Grand Hôtel du Lac! Every couple is unique. Your wedding celebration will be too!
After we finished a delicious brunch, we took a cruise on the Belle Epoque paddle steamer boat “La Suisse”. From the civil wedding ceremony to drinks and a banquet, you can celebrate the most beautiful day of your life on Lake Geneva! Extend your special event and have a memorable time with your guests on a yacht trip on Lake Geneva. We arrived almost next to the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace . Snow-capped peaks behind you, palm trees in front; the beauty of the Belle Époque all around. And presiding over the waterfront promenade for more than a century is Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, a hotel as resplendent as the city it calls home– grand ballrooms, sparkling chandeliers, mouth- watering cuisine and a flair for romance simply unrivalled in the region. Their Coupole ballroom is the perfect place for a wedding reception with amazing views over the lake and the Alps, whereas the Salle des Congrès and Salle des Fêtes offer elegance and a classical atmosphere for your wedding dinner and party. Over the years, they have developed a fine sense of what a truly grand wedding requires.
After a long day, the last transfer of the day was to Gstaad, to visit Le Grand Bellevue. We visited this venue a few times, to photograph some events and weddings. When we arrived, the team of Cake & Confetti Weddings had a wonderful presentation regarding their weddings in Switzerland. Cake & Confetti is a unique, creative design and planning agency, based in the heart of Switzerland. Specialised in distinctive concepts, individual planning, and professional implementation. Whether in intimate destination weddings, corporate events, elopements or brand styling; they support you from the planning stage through to the design and coordination of every event. They also decorated the table for the dinner, in a few different styles. The team did a great job, and we all loved it a lot.
